Natural round stone taken right from the ground here on L.I.  Our gravel is 3/4" in size and is used primarily for structural jobs such as footings and foundations. 

Grit is just a smaller size gravel 3/8" in size. It is used primarily for flatwork. Walkways, patios, driveways etc. 

Crushed Natural Bluestone comes in 3/4 in and 3/8 in.

This stone is  a type of stone which is baked in a kiln to produce a stone that is much lighter. It is primarily used for high rises or buildings that have concrete floors above the main floor.
